Das Thema CDC - Change Data Caputure - ist ein SQL 2008 Feature, um Tabellen-Änderungen in separaten Tabellen zu speichern. Protokolliert wird INSERT, UPDATE und DELETE, aber nicht über Trigger mit den daraus folgenden Performance-Problemen. Bei CDC greift der SQL-Server auf die Transaktionen im Transaction-Log zu, CDC ist also asynchron und damit unter Performance-Gesichtspunkten ideal.
